about

ORIGIN OF M started in the year 2005 in Hiroshima fronted by jap hardcore veteran Mr. Guy (bass in the legendary GUDON, owner of Bloodsucker Records). Struggle is their second album (recorded in 2010), originally a japanese CD release only - now for the first time made available on vinyl by Insane Society. These gentlemen play with similar intensity and energy as ie. their well-known mates from Tokio - FORWARD, so you can expect big guitar riffs, guttural vocals and really heavy-hitting rhythm section - but sometimes they slow down the things and can even get into rock parts and these sound incredibly catchy and fresh in their hands!
You know there is no chance that the lyrics of these guys won't be affected by the fact that they come from Hiroshima - a town on which the A-bomb was dropped some 67 years ago - the lyrics are often concerned with nuclear disarmament and peaceful coexistence. Experiences from 20 years of playing hardcore in various bands (not only GUDON but also ASPHALT, NEVER AGAIN, WARHEAD JUNK,...) are very present in the music of ORIGIN OF M and Struggle LP is definitely worth a listen even if you don't count yourself among fans of japanese hardcore YET.
